Key Questions We Ask
During our initial phone consultation, the first question we ask is about the issues you're experiencing and how long they've been occurring. Our trained techs can often resolve many issues over the phone or identify potential problems with your PV system through a series of targeted questions.

Next, we’ll inquire about the manufacturer of your solar system. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, many homes have Enphase microinverters, SolarEdge inverters, Fronius, or SMA systems installed. Some manufacturers offer excellent customer support, and we recommend contacting them first. If they are unable to resolve the issue remotely, we’ll handle the repairs for you. They also provide warranty coverage for parts, and we can assist you with the warranty claims and ensure timely replacement once parts are shipped.
Identify Possible System Issues
Let our expert team perform a solar system diagnostic to quickly and affordably identify any issues with your solar panels, inverters, or battery storage, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Faulty Inverter
If your solar system was properly installed, zero energy production is most often caused by a faulty solar inverter. Our team specializes in solar inverter diagnostics and repair to restore your system’s performance.

Panel Defect
Although rare, solar panels can sometimes fail due to issues such as hotspots, junction box failures, or delamination, affecting system performance.

Faulty Wiring
Loose connections in solar junction boxes can cause arcing and pose a fire risk, especially if installed by an inexperienced crew. If multiple solar panels have stopped producing, contact us, and our experts will inspect and resolve the issue promptly.
Troubleshooting
Checklist

Experiencing Zero Solar Production?
1. Check Inverter Readings
Start by checking the inverter readings to monitor the output of your solar system for at least one or two days. This will help confirm if there is truly no solar energy generation. If the system is still not producing, it could indicate an issue with the solar inverter or another component.

2. Check Circuit Breaker
Next, check if the solar circuit breaker has tripped. If it has, reset it and monitor the system. If the breaker trips again the following day, this may signal a more serious fault within your solar power system that requires professional inspection and repair.

3. Verify Inverter is Still Connected to Internet
If the inverter lights are on and you've recently switched internet service providers, your solar system may have lost connection to the monitoring app but is still fully operational and producing power. This is a common issue with solar monitoring systems. Contact the solar inverter manufacturer for assistance in reconnecting your system to restore real-time performance tracking.
Are a few of your solar panels not producing energy?
1. Look For Signs of Squirrels/Rats on roof
Check underneath the solar panels for visible nests or signs that squirrels or other rodents have easy access to the roof. If only a few solar panels are not producing power, rodents may be the cause. It's essential to address this issue promptly to prevent damage to the solar system wiring

2. Contact the manufacturer
Most solar system manufacturers have remote access to the system if it is connected to the internet. If an optimizer or microinverter was installed, they can verify the input readings and provide further details to assist in diagnosing the issue.
